- Our 6th graders had their first taste of middle school with their visit to Desert Shadows Middle School. They were treated to an assembly and a tour to help ease the transition to 7th grade, and the DSMS students did a great job to make them feel welcome.
- The third grade made a trip to the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium, where they were able to further their research on animals for science.
- Ms. Speight's 4th grade class participated in a fantastic hands-on experiment to demonstrate how a cold front interacts with a warm front.
- All of our young writers are busy exploring the world of poetry as they prepare for the district poetry contest. Primary students have been seeing the school through the eyes of a poet, while the older students are strengthening their use of language to create imagery and connections.
- Our Student Council continues to support our recycling efforts by emptying the recycle bins each Friday.
- Congratulations to Aidyn A. in 3rd grade. Aidyn will represent Arizona at the NBA All-Star game for the Dribble, Dish and Swish contest. He will compete that Saturday and be introduced at half-time of the game.
- Click here to heck out the Valley's newest broadcaster (the second video, "School Can Be Cool"). Daniel F. had a chance to share Sandpiper with the Valley Dish!
